Live video of a great band that didn't last. Album was completed and produced by the legendary Eddie Kramer but shelved do to band and management squabbles. Everyone has gone their separate ways and there are a few pieces left to help us remember. Filmed in NY for Fearless Music. Flask Members: Brent James(Grunow) - Vocals Kenny Olson - Guitar Shannon Boone - Drums Jason Price - Bass I make no ...
Well Shannon Larkin did make it famous such a great drummer thanks godsmack
Great band Great guys i still listen to them now
so long ago yet seems like yesterday...LONG LIVE METAL!
Such a great band!!
Followed these guys 4 a long time!!! So very underrated it's a fkn crime!!!!!!! Would love 2 jam with Brad, Terry, Jay, & Shannon!!!!!! Love 2 jam with Jeremy Miller as well, gr8 drummer!!!!!
Saw Them In 1991.With Pantera As The Headliners At A Club In Anaheim CA Called The Bandstand With 2.Other Opening Local Bands
I was at this show. I’ve seen these guys a lot when they played the Hagerstown and Martinsburg area. Great band and great guys!
Turners Skate Palace - still there! But,they haven't hosted a rock show in about four decades. I still say "danger me, danger you, danger us" occasionally, no one has an f-ing clue as to that reference.
Souls at zero derived fro this band they were amazing !
Great f#cking band, got nowhere near the respect they deserved.
I have been listening to you since high school. You fucking roooool.
ALL of you, are beautiful 🥁
Hammerjacks and the seagull
I watched this when it originally ran, and recorded it, I can't tell you how much I watched it.... I'm 52 now🤘😪😪
They were so great. I think they suffered from being too creative (mixed with more 80s nwobhm hard rock flavor) in a time where Pantera was taking off and everyone in the scene was obsessed with the more testosterone pumping groove metal and anything like it or heavier. Also, Atlantic gave them shit engineers to produce shit sounding records. They really shined live.
Damn, this takes me back. I remember seeing them at Hammerjacks and Network. Good times for sure. No Deposit, No Return was my absolute favorite song of theirs and it still gets cranked to 12 in my car.
Gotta wonder if shannon looks back and laughs about his hair nowadays.
Nope....hes a humble man!
One of my favorite bands
That was very cool.
Wanting to hear Dangerous and Reds and Blues.
Great Band...Shame they didn't get proper promotion and recognition
they became souls at zero and then disbanded
I moved from Utica NY to Martinsburg WV. It's crazy cuz while still in NY as a kid I was given the Climbing the walls CD by a griend and instantly recognized how talented these guys were. To know they started in Martinsburg WV is crazy. They were not just another band, these guys had serious talent. All of them.
New york city Cafe in the 80s best band
soo cool to see this!!!
pu$$y - what else would U want !!!
They are one of the best bands that didn't get the recognition they deserved pending on what level they wanted as a thrash band they were one of the best they were heavy but not to heavy where you couldn't understand them but a good solid sound i wonder where they are now
Climbing the Walls was flat out neglected. Like, Metal Church debut album neglected. 3D? Absolutely groundbreaking. It was up there with Faith No More's The Real Thing in that regard...
And now Shannon plays with Godsmack.
It's very strange they didn't achieve a well deserved success after their record "3-D". That CD was AMAZING!
Seriously underrated band and album
@@dcyphrz8532 indeed! They were WAY ahead of their time.
They changed their name to Souls At Zero. Although they didn't have great success they made awesome music.
Silent darkness is there best song
love this video, thanks for sharing. These guys should have made it huge. They will always be a part of my younger years.
How many times at Hammerjacks?
Ça value la peine.
this band was amazing!
At music
You have to be better than a copycat going to be a killer
seen them 50 or more times at Hammers & Steel Town !
saw them at Hammerjacks and Rabbits Foot
What year this was made?
brutalictesku Mid eighties....I remember when they got selected Nationally to do this...Atlantic signed them shortly after and then even though the albums were off the charts, the industry was very unkind to them....
And the drummer went on to play in what band........?
GODSMACK !
Lol Ugly Kid Joe!
Seen these guys play in Raleigh a few times..Awesome Live band!!!!! should had broke big!!! Bought all your cd's though
Remember spending time with this band and they were the hardest working band out there hands down.
I hung out with them when they were Souls at Zero and Shannon was playing with Ugly kid joe (they toured together) in their hotel after the show Myself and 2 friends were only ones that knew SAZ at the show we had made WrathChild America t-shirts. They took us backstage where everyone was there except UKJs singer and then back to the hotel for drinks with Jay and Terry and Dave (guitarist from UKJ) I was 19 years old what a night!!
Loved you guys at old mill and mountain view. Also I'm still in love w/ Becky Griffin. Nice pick of you in 1979 year book. You really sprouted after that year. I was a softmore in 79. God you made me melt Becky. Brad you had a real hottie. I envy you Brad kissing Becky in this vid production. I Especially cringed when I saw you Becky at rabbits foot in the 80's. I was to shy to approach you. You have always moved me girl. I remember you kickin some fools ass on the school bus on Braddock Hts in 79. That was hilarious. I graduated in 81 and lived on ridge road just up the street from you. I even met your father one day at your home on ridge Rd. You weren't home at the time. I was doing sales in the area. So cool! I'm 51 this year and every time I think of you I smile! I will always remember you forever Becky, you always took my breath away every time I saw you. Guess your wondering who I am. I suppose I'll just keep you guessing. Luv you Becky Griffin!!!!!!!
+Doug Van Just finished watching Kill Bill Volume 1.......couldn't help but find this tread again and make a comment regarding the gorgeous Becky Griffin......Uma Thurman so reminds me of you.......I will never forget you Becky.....Big smiles your way!!!
Still here wondering and thinking about you Becky......Had to come back and revisit this thread to see if you posted in response. You are always in my memory and one of the sweetest! Wish I could run into you Becky. I'm living on Market Street in Frederick. I will always remember you as the sweetest girl I wish I could have gotten close to. ::)
Everytime I watch this video, my first thoughts are always these: a fuckin loss! When I first heard Surrounded by Idiots, it took me a fuckin week to stop listening it. I love that wicked shit. And then came Climbin the walls, and the 84' demo, and the other sweet 80's tasted noisy records. Well their stuff was more than enough to got me hooked on, I must say they were at the wrong place and wrong time.
Saw these guys waaayyyyy back at a now newly named club, then called JAXX in Springfield, VA. Great show.
If it was Wrathchild, it probably was called the Copa or Wild West Club at that point. It was named Jaxx circa '92 and Zaxx just before that.
Awesome
Where are they now? They never made the Big Time where do they work? All that they gave up.... was it worth it?
actually, the drummer is none other than Shannon Larkin, currently in Godsmack and the guitarist, Brad, is the sound man on tour with Linkin Park...
Also look for the band they turned into; "Souls at Zero" which was more "Aggro" Metal but still good. But yeah Wrathchild was a bit ahead of their time, especially with the album "3D". I had this News expose on VHS tape. And wondered what happened to them. Soo cool when I saw their 1st Video for "Climbing the walls".
